"Moment" was written in the past few weeks after hearing some of the 2021 record Memory. I wanted to revisit that sound with all the arpeggiators and the washy pads, but apply some of the things I discovered while writing Welcome Home.

"In Retrospect" was supposed to be part of a full project that I ended up deciding against. I was going to rework the entirety of Memory, but felt like it was too much work for essentially a repetition. Still, I recently came across this file, listened to it, loved it, and decided that despite not liking the concept of the project overall, I do want people to hear it. "In Retrospect" is a complete overhaul of "Memory II."

"Spark" was originally the closer of Welcome Home, but after a ton of revisions, got a little too far away from the album's sound to make sense (the bouncy delay on the piano, the 9/8 time signature, the electronic drums, etc.). Still, I absolutely love this song and I wanted people to hear it.
